Tyler McInnes named in Green Shield Team of the Year

NSW Premier Cricket has announced the players selected in the 2023/24 AW Green Shield Merit XII (Team of the Year).

Renowned as one of the world’s premier junior club competitions, the AW Green Shield has been a launchpad for many of NSW and Australian cricket’s finest players, including Pat Cummins, Steve Smith, David Warner, Mitchell Starc, Sean Abbott, Stephen O’Keefe, Ollie and Joel Davies.

The selection criteria for the AW Green Shield Team of the Year are based strictly on statistics from the preliminary rounds.

The team comprises the top six batters, top five bowlers, and the leading wicketkeeper in the competition. Ties are separated by superior average while the wicketkeeper is separated by most runs.

Each selected player will receive a commemorative cap in recognition of their remarkable achievements and inclusion into the Merit XII.
