High Performance Project has an eye on the future

Stockton & Northern Districts Cricket is continuing to grow and evolve with an eye of the future. In trying to provide opportunity for talented young players the club has partnered with Newcastle Cricket Academy and a number of Newcastle and NSW Country's leading players to establish the clubs' High Performance Project.

The High-Performance Project is designed to provide select and talented young cricketers with access to expert coaching and mentoring. The aim of the High-Performance Project is to assist with fast tracking the selected players development and ensure that each individual is given the best environment and opportunity to achieve their maximum potential.

Newcastle and NSW Country Captain, Nick Foster, speaking about the new High Performance Project said "it is an exciting time for the club and also for the people involved in the project. Not only are we trying to give our youth good cricketing skills but we are also trying to provide them with skills that will serve them well in their life off the field."

The club is in the midst of a very successful period on after a number of lean years. The implementation of the clubs strategic plan and direction has given the club the impetus to refocus priorities and have a strong focus on youth, sustainability and building strong community partnerships.

The inaugural intake will include a number of talented players who have already started to forge a path into senior cricket and a number who are now making the transition into the senior ranks after being highly successful junior representative cricketers.
